Software Update: DVC 50 Driver (Windows 98, Windows Millenium, Windows 2000) 

From this page you can download the latest drivers for Digital Video Creator 50. These drivers are provided here for users who might have lost their original copies of the software. If you already have a DVC 50 software installation CD, you do not need to download these drivers.

Note: These drivers are compressed as a zip file, and will need to be unzipped with a compression utility such as WinZip.

For Users Who Have Never Installed DVC 50

If you have never installed the DVC 50, just follow these steps:

  1. Download the latest DVC 50 drivers, dvc50drivers.zip (71KB), and save the file to your computer's desktop.
  2. Unzip the file and save the contents to a new folder.
  3. Connect the DVC 50 hardware.
  4. Install the DVC 50 drivers when asked (ie, when Windows detects your DVC 50 hardware) by directing the installer to the location where you saved the new drivers.

For Users Who Have Previously Installed DVC 50

If you have already installed DVC 50, you need to uninstall before using these new drivers.

  1. Download the latest DVC 50 drivers, dvc50drivers.zip (71KB), and save the file to your computer's desktop.
  2. Unzip the file and save the contents to a new folder.
  3. Right-click My Computer and choose Properties.
  4. Click the Device Manager tab.
  5. Open Imaging Device.
  6. Right-click on Digital Video Creator 50 and choose Remove.
  7. Click Refresh.
  8. Disconnect and then reconnect the DVC 50 hardware.
  9. Install the latest DVC 50 drivers when asked (ie, when Windows detects your DVC 50 hardware) by directing the installer to the location where you saved the new drivers.
